Are schools helping me to become a global person?

Meeting people of different races and religions can help you to become more of a global person, and be aware of your surroundings. You’d also learn to know how to treat other people, and not be ignorant when it comes to socializing with different people.

Every person you meet, you technically “visited” the place their from by getting to know them. So, in my case, I know: Asians, Mexicans, Africans, Germans, Russians, Jews, and Atheists. But the thing is, I met these people in a public school. So I can learn geography from my friends, and not have to sit through a class. Which I had to do anyway. The more you learn about others, the larger your paradigm is, and you can understand different cultures, unlike private schools. They choose their students, and most of the time, they choose rich, white kids, or just people of a certain religion, and if they had been in a school like that all their life, and also been sheltered, then when they saw or met a different person that wasn’t the way they thought or looked, they’d freak out or something. Or at least be rude. I dunno.
So, yeah. I’ve learned about the world by meeting:

Asian: ~BlueAngelSakura
Mexican: Uhh…you know Hernandez, right? Yeah, John? He’s cool.
African: ~Sybya <- She’s a mix, hahahahaha
Jewish: Really, in person, she’s Jewish =sonicgirl21
Atheist: Uhh…his name was Bollie. I doubt you know him.
German: That one guy, in our class. Is his name Vyke or something?
Russian: That one loser kid, Sergi.

All those people, I met in school.

:bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletblue:History of School and segregation :bulletblue::bulletpurple::bulletgreen:

Back then, schools and mostly everything were separated into “whites” and “coloreds”. The main problem with that (besides everything) was the separated schools. An example of this was the court case Brown Vs. Board Of Education, where Oliver Brown sued the board of education for not letting his daughter, Linda Brown, go to the white school, Sumner Elementary. That school was closer to their house, unlike her school, Monroe Elementary. Where Linda had to walk 6 blocks for the bus stop.

In the long run, segregation was (No crap) banned. So we all get to go to school together, and Fwoozaaa! People meet, and we become global people! I think that would be the easy way to explain this.

Here's some pictures of my friends in school!

You might wanna say "african american" or something instead of black. Sounds more professional..
